Mostly inside your home, management of  household appliances consumption is a daily matter. Various appliances like oven, dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator are only some examples of household appliances that if activated at the same time might cause an excessive power demand, and consequently the main switch disconnection.

The new device to control loads PC RF8 prevents the main switch disconnection, controlling and in case disconnecting electrical loads, in order to monitor the total absorbed power. Loads are reactivated  automatically as soon as the absorbed power allows it.

PC RF8 controls radiofrequency loads. This make it particularly suitable for all existing electrical installations because it allows controlling every single power outlet (load) without making new wirings.

How it works

The system is made of a control unit PC RF8 measuring the absorbed power and controlling if it is within the set threshold, and by one or more remote actuators RX.16A. The last one is installed directly into the power socket  to activate or deactivate loads, according to the signals coming from the control unit.

PCRF8 can control up to 8 power sockets managing the same number of remote actuators. Every single actuator must be programmed to give a priority of disconnection in case the set value (set-point) exceeds.

Vemer recommends the Set PCRF8 made of an already configured module box and of two remote actuators to further simplify the installation and to minimize the required procedures. If it is necessary it is possible to buy other actuators to control more loads (maximum 8 loads).

The installation

The system can be installed on all electrical installations, even if already existing. The radiofrequency command allows controlling loads also without wire connection, therefore removing structural limits.
The only wire connection is inside the flush mounting box, between the actuator and the power socket.

1  Remove the plastic plug from the flush mounting box;
2  Connect the actuator to the power socket;
3  Re-install the plastic plug on the flush mounting box;
4  Re-install the wall plate.
