Pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, as amended (“Privacy Code”) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “Privacy Regulation”), Vemer S.p.A. hereby informs you and all users and/or visitors to the website https://www.vemer.it/en/ (respectively the “Users” and the “Site”), about the use of personal data collected through the Site.

1. Data Controller, Data Processors and Data Protection Officer

The Data Controller for the processing of personal data is Vemer S.p.A., with registered office in Via Camp Lonc 16, Villapaiera Feltre (BL), 32032 - Italy, VAT No. 01041410257, e-mail info@vemer.it, (hereinafter the “Data Controller”).

The updated list of designated Data Processors can be provided upon request by Data Subjects and/or Users.

In the event that a Data Protection Officer is appointed, his or her identification data will be disclosed by publication of the same, supplementing this disclosure.

2. Information automatically collected by the Site

Like all websites, our Site also makes use of log files, in which information collected automatically during your visits is stored. The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the Site automatically acquire certain information during use, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols.

The information collected is as follows:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address or domain name of the device you are using;
  • type of browser and parameters of the device used to connect to the Site;
  • the addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of the requested resources or the method used to submit the request to the server;
  • name of the Internet Service Provider (ISP);
  • date and time of visit;
  • the User’s referral and exit web pages;
  • possibly the number of clicks;
  • the size of the file obtained in response;
  • the numeric code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.);
  • other parameters related to the operating system and the computing environment of your device.

This information is processed automatically and collected exclusively in aggregate form for the purpose of verifying the proper functioning of the Site.

3. The personal data you provide to us by using the Site: why we process them

We need your data to allow you to:

  • access and browse the Site;
  • proceed with subscriptions/registrations and to access the services offered therein (e.g. contacts, newsletters, work with us, etc.) as requested by you.

Your data is processed for the following purposes:
(i) to comply with legal obligations;
(ii) to perform technical management of the Site;
(iii) to send you our Newsletter, the Privacy Policy of which is available at link;
(iv) to allow you to use the “Contact Us” service, which enables you to contact the Data Controller, as per the specific Privacy Policy available at the link;
(v) to allow you to make use of the “Assistance” service, which enables the Data Controller to be contacted in order to obtain clarifications on the products marketed, it being understood that all information on their functionality and installation is already indicated in the instruction manual attached to each product, as per the specific Privacy Policy available at the link;
(vi) to allow you to use the “Our Apps” service that enables you to contact the Data Controller to report any issues related to the functionality of the Apps as per the specific information available at the link;
(vii) to allow you to use the “Work with us” service so as to send your spontaneous application and/or to allow you to apply for a specific vacancy, as per the Privacy Policy available at link.

The data you provide will be processed mainly by computer under the authority of the Data Controller, by persons specifically designated, authorised and instructed to process them, pursuant to Article 29 of the Privacy Regulation and Article 2-quaterdecies of the Privacy Code. You are hereby informed that appropriate security measures are observed, including in accordance with Articles 5 and 32 of the Privacy Regulation, to prevent loss of data, illegal or incorrect use and unauthorised access.

4. Nature of data provision and legal basis for processing

With reference to the purposes set out in Article 3 points (iii), (iv), (v), (vi) and (vii), please refer to what is expressly indicated in the specific notice referred to in this Privacy Policy. For the purposes referred to in points (i) and (ii) of Article 3 above, the provision of your personal data is necessary because without it you will not be able to take advantage of the services offered by the Site. Consequently, for the purposes referred to in point (i) the legal basis of processing is the fulfilment of legal obligations, pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) of the Privacy Regulation, while for the purposes referred to in point (ii) the legal basis of the processing is the performance of services provided through the Site and requested by you, pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) of the Privacy Regulation.

5. To whom and where we may pass on your data

Your data may be communicated within the EU to the departments, entities and external companies (including consultants and service providers) which the Data Controller uses to manage the Site and to carry out activities connected with, instrumental to or consequent upon the performance of the services offered by the Site.

6. Your rights

Articles 15 et seq. of the Privacy Regulation grant the Data Subject the right to obtain, in the manner and within the limits established by Article 2-undecies of the Privacy Code and Article 12 of the Privacy Regulation:

  • confirmation of whether or not personal data relating to them exist, even if they have not yet been stored, and communication thereof in an intelligible form;
  • an indication of the origin of the personal data, the purposes and methods of processing, the logic applied in the event of processing carried out with the aid of electronic instruments, the identification details of the Data Controller;
  • the updating, rectification, integration, erasure, anonymisation or blocking of data processed in breach of the law - including data whose storage is not necessary in relation to the purposes for which the data are collected or subsequently processed -, the certification that such operations have been brought to the attention, including as regards their content, of those to whom the data have been communicated or disseminated, except where this proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared to the right protected.

The Data Subject also has the right:

  • to revoke consent (where given) to the processing of personal data at any time (without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given before revocation);
  • to object, in whole or in part, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, even if pertinent to the purpose of collection;
  • to object, in whole or in part, to the processing of personal data concerning him/her for the purpose of sending advertising or direct sales material or for carrying out market research or commercial communication;

  • the portability of personal data within the limits of Article 20 of the Privacy Regulation.

7. Duration of Data Processing

Without prejudice to legal obligations, personal data will be stored for a fixed period of time, according to criteria based on the nature of the services provided.

8. Security Measures

Through the Site, your data is processed in compliance with the applicable law and using appropriate security measures in accordance with the regulations in force, also pursuant to Articles 5 and 32 of the Privacy Regulation.
In this regard, we confirm, inter alia, the adoption of appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access, theft, disclosure, modification or destruction of your data.

9. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Data Controller reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. In this case you will be informed promptly when you use the Site again.
